Sad to think that this is probably the last bottle of sauce my Nonna will ever send me.
Hurry up and wait. (at Gate C35)
God is at work
Remember: when the cues don’t fire, when the transitions turn into train-wrecks, when the band isn’t “killing it”… God is still at work.
It’s national bike to work day. Thankfully today’s office is only a mile away. (at Starbucks)
Making progress. Can’t wait to ride it.
Walking outside I was reminded of our neighbor who recently passed away. This tree is blooming in the front yard of what was her home.
It’s a reminder that life is indeed short. And that as some bloom and blossom others fall and fade.
I often never understand the order of things but trust the one who puts an order to it all.
XGames Detroit official bid video. Incredible work by some buddies of mine. I hope ESPN sees this.
3 weeks and counting. Cannot wait! #woodsidebible
Dear designer,
Educate yourself.
Read this and was reminded that if we are truly following Jesus then encouragement is a vital part of our growth and the growth of others. #inChrist

Thank You! (an open letter to Woodside Bible Church)
I just sent an email to over 500 volunteers across 8 campuses thanking them for welcoming our family into theirs. I wanted to make this public just in case others from our church happened upon it. This is for you too.

I wanted to take a minute and say thank you to each and every one of you. I could probably list hundreds of reasons to thank you (and miss many others) but instead I want to focus on just three.
1. Thank you for staying
Change is never easy. In fact, it’s down right messy. I know that if you’ve been serving at Woodside for more than 3 years then I know that you have seen your fair share of change. Change in leadership, change in style, change in vision. CHANGE! I too am no stranger to change. When I was a student/young adult at Woodside I saw four youth pastors and two college pastors come and go. I remember how I felt as someone who was under their leadership and also as someone serving in their ministry. It’s tough. The amazing part about all of that, and all of this, is that those before me have done an incredible job of making this ministry more about Jesus and The Kingdom than themselves. You are the evidence of that. Thank you for staying.
2. Thank you for believing
Part of who I am as a person and a leader has been instilled within me by some incredible mentors in my life. One of the things I’ve learned along the way is to always believe the best in everyone until they give you a reason to doubt them. I want to thank you for believing the best in me. Beyond that thank you for believing that the leadership of Woodside knew what they were doing when they asked me to come and lead our team and ministry. I believe that the best days for the Creative Arts at Woodside are ahead of us rather than behind us. God never gives us the entire picture of what’s to come, and I just love that. It’s like knowing that Christmas is coming but you don’t know what you’re going to get… you just know that it’s going to be good. (Santa never let me down). God is not a God that backpedals. He and His Kingdom are advancing. His story is being written as we speak all over the world and the fact that we get to play a huge part in it for so many so often is incredible. Thank you for believing.
3. Thank you for leading/serving
The reason I am where I am today is because someone took a chance on me and decided that I needed to get off of the bench and into the game. They asked me to serve. That was in the sixth grade. I haven’t looked back yet. I’m happy that somewhere along the way someone did the same with you and offered you a chance to be a part of ministry and gave you a chance to share the gift(s) God has given you with those he cares about. Throughout history God chose specific people for specific reasons. We are no different. God has chosen for you to be a part of this team at this time to represent Him and carry His name and His truth to others. Our mission in Creative Arts is to help people belong to Christ by creating an environment and experience where those attending are led to worship, challenged to connect, and encouraged to embrace the principles and values of Godʼs Word (grow) and take next steps. Thank you for living this out each and every day. Thank you for leading and serving.
From my family
(Rachel, Emery (4), and Ashland(5mo))
Thank you for welcoming our family with open arms and allowing us to join your church family. We are already thriving and a lot of that is due to the family-like atmosphere and welcoming hearts of those in the Creative Arts Teams. We are so excited to be a part of Woodside.
Looking forward to this next season of life-changing ministry at Woodside. If you’re interested in a little bit more about HOW we came to Woodside you can click here

This time last year I was preparing to head back to Bogota. Still praying that God would take me back soon.
